school me on a 1985 pickup

Ahoy derrr. New to the board and you guys seem pretty cool. After googling and whatnot, I can't seem to find enough info on the 22r engine. My friend owns a 94 pickup which i believe has the 22re which he swears is VERY reliable, my question to you guys is this: is the 22r as reliable as the latter 22re? Is the gas mileage good? I drive an e30 and the mileage on that straight 6 is almost choking my wallet so I'm trying to find out if I should go ahead and buy a 85 pickup I came across for uber cheap (for restaurant deliveries). I really like the body style of my friend's 94 but this 85 seems like a steal for the price. Worth it or not so much? Thanks in advance guys.

Expect high teens low twenties for fuel mileage.

22r is the same motor with a carburetor instead of EFI.

How cheap is uber cheap?

Didn't even think of that. If it's 2wd fuel mileage will be even better.

1650. It doesn't say 4x4 on the ad so I'm not exactly sure. They come in rwd too right?
Edit: nevermind, above post answered that. Here's the link http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...730152346.html

^^^^ Yes.

That's a good deal either way if it's in good shape.
