I'm thinking about selling my 4.88 front and rear because I'm gonna straight axle this summer and I wanna be able to rebuild my diffs instead of buying OEM all from Toyota. Costing me a arm and a leg, if something goes wrong.

Wow where from? I bought mine for $500 overall locally for both.

 

I had a deal worked out to buy two rears for $350 shipped. I also went to a pick-n-pull and got a complete rear axle with 4.88 for $90 and my buddy for the front for $75

 

pricing is all over the place when you consider the you-pull vs they-pull salvage yards vs CL. I've seen them anywhere from $100-800 for a set. I bought mine for $500 as well because I couldn't find any after a few months searching. Now I see them somewhat frequently for cheaper price, go figure.

Depending on mileage and condition, I'd probably start at like $400 on CL and drop from there. I think it also depends on where you live in the country.

 

I can usually sell a set for about $450 shipped anywhere within a week here on Yotatech.
