Interesting. Wonder how it would look after a year or so. Another question would be the cost

I would think a 79-83 glue in fiberglass floor panel would a big seller. Just saying.

The timing cover is cool. Kinda tuner -ish.

Like Jason said, I'd be curious about longevity. That, and would there be an option to pre notch them for supercharged applications? I think cutting out the notch for the charger snout might cloud it.

That being said, I'd be interested. I think it's pretty cool.

these are available , and have been available for YEARS , for nissans , acuras , and many other manufactures .. google it .. they are very well received .

yep , it is "tuner-ish " and custom !! .. this is why I want to see if anyone is interested .
as for the floors .. I had it all set up , and we were ready , almost .. market research ..
people just would rather pop-rivet a piece of tin in , instead of paying for OE quality floor replacements .. so we dropped that project . We are , as you know , building the complete cab replacement , so we will be doing our own floor .. not a factory type replacement
We are not relying on an outside source for this , and not wanting the "floor replacement market" .. those people can put the tin in they want .. This will be a new floor to support our cab .

We will be doing the pre notch for superchargers on an individual basis .. so YES , they will be available for S/C 'd 3.4'S

Interesting concept.

I myself would not even think of buying one

Just more work keeping it clean.

Kinda doubt there will be close to enough interest in this to make it worth it. Not many toyota truck guys are into that kind of thing. While cool to look at it really does nothing and costs a fair hunk.

the tuner in me says yes, even more so if pre notched for sc. But it would be a thing only for shows. Its not like I have custom cams/cam gears and run around without a hood.

And this. And lets be honest, not a lot of shows around.

We drive trucks, not riced out show vehicles. Low riders and bling guys might want them, but I would be surprised if there was a real market for them. Clear timing covers don't do a lot of good covered in mud Its not particularly fancy under the timing cover anyways.

Thanks fellas ... appreciate the feed back
I do know the majority of the "off road" crowd would not be interested , derp derp !! not every ones piece of pie . I get it , but not everyone is the same .

just trying to see what interest there is in the whole community

even if your a non member , you should weigh in on this .. 2WD guys , swap guys in to fords and chevs ect ... this may be your only chance to post your cat your opinion , so speak up

I think the biggest issue for the 5vz even for the guys that would want this, is the fact that the timing gears are ugly with no aftermarket options to make it look any better under there.

Depending on cost i'd be in, if not only to easily keep an eye on the timing belt.

I still think you could sell a ton of them on Ebay for around $75ish. Bump for still wanting one.

Highly doubt final prcing would be close to that. I know for the MR2 which only have 1 much smaller valve cover the final pricing on clear covers was closer to $200 IIRC. It would be more for the 5vz since it is both lower demand/volume and larger and harder to make.
