84 pickup SHOULD i buy?

There is a local selling a 84 Toyota pickup for 2200, he said it runs great. it is 4 cylinder 5 speed, lifted will fit up to 38'' tires, come with a salvaged title, 32'' bf Goodrich at tires 75-80 %... i can get some 38" tires for 400 so i am not worried about the tires? but something looks funny about the truck. can you help me. This would be my first yota so i know pretty much nothing about them besides they dominate everything on the rocks.

it looks funny cause it sits higher in the rear than the front and it's missing part of the bed behind the tires.
no rear bumper too.

more info/pics.

i like the wheels.

looks like lots of work.
talk him down, with a salvage title check for a bent frame.

will have to have gears to run 38's.

If your in Cali, make sure it passes smog of course...
The exhaust looks funky to me..the rear window looks like its been damaged/leaking from the pics. Test drive it and offer $1700 and go up from there I guess..

looks like it has decent poteital with hysteer already installed and the bed bobed, one thing i see wrong is the shackle angle in the back looks offset, personally i would cut the lift down a few inches and run 35s, offer 1500 and go from there, a salvage title is going to be a pain to tag, espically in cali

that thing is fubar...the u bolts on the driver's side front spring is totally screwed up.

it looks like the spacing is off because it is missing the top plate for the front bump stop
needs a front end/knuckle rebuild just by the amount of leakage around the knuckle ball
