It would be fun to get some peeps together and stomp around on the dunes rec area. Anyone game, say, next Saturday or Sunday?

I know this is about a month late, but I guess it didn't subscribe me to this thread! I totally forgot I had even posted. haha

So, you're from Los Osos? I go to school at Poly... Are there any fun places to drive around in Montana De Oro?

It's a nice paved drive out to Montana De Oro and it continues a couple miles past the main beac and ranger station before it dead ends at a trailhead parking lot/Diablo Canyon Property LIne, but there are NO dirt roads that you are allowed to drive on out there.

Plenty of awesome hiking trails though!

Don't get me wrong, I practically live out there. The sand dunes out there are amazing! I've just never explored any car trails. I guess there aren't any, though.

Have you ever been down to Lake Lopez? I drove up to Big Falls once, it was a gorgeous drive with about 5 creek crossings... I'd be down to go soon if you wanted to start a little 4Runner convoy!
