Hello, anyone have any recommendations for a good salvage yard, likely to have 4runners, in the lake forest (south orange county area)?

Fermans has the best selection from what I've seen... There is a MiniTruck yard on Durfee in El Monte, right off the freeway... There is also a yard called (I think) "All Chevy" in Santa Ana on Fifth Street that has some Yotas. The last place I know of is a mini truck yard somewhere in Orange. I can you get phone numbers late tonight... What are you looking for? Anything in particular?
Note: If you go to Fermans, know what you want and know how much you want to pay. They have no problem pulling CRAZY numbers out of their arse. Julio is the 4Runner guy and his favorite number apparently is 45. Everything costs $45. From a corner light to the HVAC trim plate to the blower motor. You have to work him from there. Bill (I would guess by his clothes) is a higher up, maybe owner, that is usually less ridiculous, but often asks Julio about prices...

 

Mainly I'm looking for the plastic piece with the strap for folding down my back seats (one of them broke) and I need to replace the throttle. In the future I'm sure I'll need some other random parts to replace, so it wouldn't be bad to know of a few places anyway.

Plastic straps? I don't think I have those either. Haha. Ferman's just got another Runner in, so give them a call. My bet is, they probably won't know what part you're looking for exactly, so heading over there to poke thru the truck is the best bet. They are even open on Saturdays, which is nice...

i can usually find one in the SFV that has what i need, i call em all for the best price too.

 

i gotta agree...Julio knows his 4runner...some things he quotes are high and some are low.....anybody in area have lower moldings....thanks
