Calling all Cali-members!!

Hello fellow yoter'ers! First of all I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post but I am sure one of the nice mods will help me out? Ne ways, I just moved from southern Oregon to central Cali, Sacramento to be exact, and wanted to see who my fellow yota neighbors are. I moved down for school, gonna be attending Wyotech for auto, deisel, and chassis fab!! Should be fun!

Im in San Diego, about 8 hours south! Sacramento has a lot of good wheeling areas towards the Sierra's. Enjoy the summer, and I hope your AC works well!

Me, Dbcfr, Datsayota, Malteserunner and several others are in "true" central cali in the area between Fresno and Yosemite National Park. There is some great wheeling down here. Hit us up if you want to come explore sometime.

Right on guys!! I'm excited to see what Cali has to offer, my driver rig isn't much of a wheeler but she'll soon be up to a mountain ride status at least. I hear Auburn has most of the rock crawler events and such. I will for sure check out the august trip I just got a job so hopefully will have my ducks in a row by then.

Whats up bro.... welcome!!! Im on the Sacramento, citrus heights border. Looks like we have enough local guys around here to do a small camping trip somewhere. There's alot of places up in Forest Hill from what I've heard.

The chassis fab and high performance engine class is great. The automotive classes are good if you don't know much about cars. If you want to make money Diesel is your best friend. I graduated the auto program about... 6 or 7 years ago.

Adrian GT, currently top of my class for Automotive, taking the diesel program actually, can't wait. Lots of information, how has your education been to you?

I learned a lot at the school. I'd say mostly it gave me the confidence to be a great mechanic. The first year or two I wasn't working great job but by time I was 20 I was already making 35% flag hour at a $90/h shop. I went into the performance tuner shops afterwards to make a lot less money but have a lot more fun and learn a lot more. these days I'm doing computer work sitting in the A/C with no grease under my fingernails but i still wrench on all of my own vehicles.

Don't expect everyone to know what wyotech is when you get out, You'll have to do a lot of explaining of what you did in school.

p.s. all those promises from firestone and the like where they'd hire you at a rate of already working there for 2 years because of the schooling never turned out to be true. also wyotech loved sending me job offers for Sacramento even though I lived nearly 500 miles away at the time.
