Quoted from Hans:
Rocktoberfest at Byrd's Oct. 26-29. www.rockcrawlers4x4.com
Well if I'm planning.... we'll all meet at my place on Wednesday and work on the truck. We should have it all blinged out by Friday and ready to wheel.
The event starts Thursday morning, I plan to be there Friday morning. But if enough people want to play I can be there by 5pm on Thursday. It costs $75 for a vehicle for the weekend, $10 per person for 1 day, $20 for the weekend. Let Cory and I know in advance if you want to come w/o a rig and for $10 we can get you in for the weekend... so that saves you $10.
So we got:
Hans - truck
Cory - truck
Vanessa - passenger
Keith - ?
Gary - Stock TJ
Gary's bro-in-law - passenger
?Guy in the Jeep?
?John?
?Brian?
?Others?
I need to check whether a vehicle gets 3 passenger passes or 4. I thought it was '3 + driver' but the reg. form makes it look like '4 + driver' So Cory, Gary and my rigs will get either 12 total or 15 total people in. But they'll only seat 11 at most. So bring some good walking shoes Looks like we have 6 people committed right now, 2 vehicles with a couple more vehicles possible.
Cory's probably headed back Sunday morning... but I'll probably stay a bit if my truck is still driveable.
There is plenty of stuff to play on with a stock truck if you want, so no worries there.
Might want to think about camping arrangements for the night... it's a national forest around there, so that shouldn't be an issue. Byrd's has showers and stuff too, so you can even clean up before heading to camp. There might be a primitive cabin available, but I need to look into that... it may be packed already. Byrd's offers camping, but it's extra $.

Ok... the Jeep won't be stock for long. It's still unclear if we'll get it locked in time for Rocktoberfest, as there's this little problem called a Dana 35 we need to work around, but it will be lifted rolling on at least 33's by then. I'm gunning for 35's. I'll know more when he buys the parts tomorrow. We're going to pop Barbie's cherry this weekend.

Hans and I talked yesterday, and we decided that we were going down Thursday night. I dont know if either of us has cell phone reception out there, so we may need to work on a plan.
Keith I know you're comin Friday late afternoon, ADH and Fink are sometime over the weekend, is anyone else comin?

Damage:
I hooked my front bumper on a tree and pulled it off. It was a pretty strong tree. Power steering pumps like fluid.
Cory - Hooked front bumper on a rock and bent it (not that you can tell), same rock also got his front fender and parking light. Left rear quarter got some loving from a tree. I think he decarboned his engine by ingesting a little muddy water and flooring it. And he had some electrical problems.... don't know whether the hot wire to the battery was too short, or if the battery moved around too much? And I'm pretty sure he filled all his axles with water, again, after being parked in a stream for 30 minutes (see previously listed electrical problem). Broke tail light on his trailer (they should sell replacement lenses by the 12 pack).
Keith - rear bumper on a rock
Gary - polished his rag top with a tree and got some rock rash on his wheels. I'm still pissed we didn't rip off a running board or break the Dana 35.
Ryan - too whipped by his woman to wheel, chose to look at waterfalls instead.
