Want a 4Roc decal?

This is a response to an inquiry I made to StreetGraphics.net (Makers of high quality vinyl decals, many of us have their factory looking TRD quarterpanel decals)

easy to make, I can set it up, and i'll print them on clear just like the factory ones, so they will look like they came from toyota. send me an email with the picture that you talked about, that way i'll have something to go by, let me know how many you need, and I'll work out a price. what colors do you need?

thanks
ryan

So how many should I tell him?
The TRD ones were only $15/pair. I hope to get these for the same or even less. I think the TRD color combos would also be fine. What do you think, I know this is early, but maybe it will be incentive to get more people on board.

One thing. These are not going to be placed on the quarterpanels like the TRD Off-Road stickers are. These will be placed on the rear windshield. I believe having them die-cut so that only the letters come off on the window would be best. These also shouldnt be as big as the TRD stickers Toyota makes. How about we have the decals be 6" wide and whatever height is appropriate.

Yeah, I was gonna tell him they would need to be smaller. I was just referring to the others they make.
Do you think that with Gene's design, the die cut style will work?
I thought with all the different colors they would be made similar to the TRD ones.
I need to send him a response soon, how can I get more people to see this? Move to general suv forum?

Not to rain on anyones parade, but I'm really thinking we should hold off on ordering stickers before we even have an organization. I think the idea was that you would pay dues to a state chapter or such, and those dues would go towards your sticker. I'm not telling anyone what to do, but I know that Washington state 4ROC will be having its first meeting in a couple of weeks. We'll be collecting dues at some point, to go towards stickers with a WA state specific signature. I would just hate to see people have to spend money twice. Just my .02's.

I agree, David. While I would definitely like to own a decal now, we need to have an organization in place first, in addition to the state specific signatures/logos and the parent web site at a minimum. As things stand now, we would be adverising nil with a graphic. People wouldn't have a place to go if they saw it. In my opinion, it's not worth it to do it now.

Down the road, I would definitely consider removing my current TRD decals for 4ROC ones on the quarter panels knowing we can get those made. Better visibility there and would be just as cool.

I was thinking about putting them on the rear window OVER the quarter panel.

Any idea how much horsepower these are rated for ?

I'd like to know the price first, but would be interested for VA or national stickers. This may be a good substitute for TRD stickers since I'm running a stock 22re 4 banger.

I think 1 person should be picked or volunteer to have the stickers manufactured. However, only under the orders of those in charge of the Nat'l/State Divisions. Each state will submit they're .psd version of the file to him and he will give it to one of the decal manufacturers. This person is not in charge of modifying the logos himself.

As for purchasing them, the way I think it should be done is this:
1. Each state collects $20 dues from the new members (There must be atleast 5 members to become a Chapter, so that equals atleast $100)
2. Each state then purchases atleast 10 stickers, 5 more than they have members. This way, they will have a discounted rate and will have stickers left to give new members as they join and pay dues so there will be no need to order more in the next month or two.

The $20 membership fee completely covers cost of stickers (as long as we can get the stickers at a good price).

So... any news on decals? If we want our club to grow, this is by far the best advortising. Is there an official nat'l site yet? If so, we should probably put that url at the bottom in smaller letters of course. I'm really pumped bout 4Roc now that its getting off the ground, lets get the word out! Die-cut is definately the way to go, it will look 10x cleaner (looking) when applied to glass.

I was also thinking maybe a liscense plate would be cool too... my tjm is screaming for a front plate, I just haven't seen one i like.
