Well, yes and no. TTORA is a Tacoma club - so they want Tacoma's owners in the club. They do, however, make allowances for a few non-Tacoma members. To quote:

I think this is quite reasonable. After all, what good is a club for a specific make and model if make and model does not matter!??!
i know the policy. two per state. i wheel with the texas guys and am on the ttora board.

Then you would know it's 5 per chapter and not 2 wouldn't you? Or would you?

Yup. Sure do.

Perhaps you should inform him (the next time you share beers) that the information posted on the main TTORA site is incorrect then.

This is a great idea that seems to be on the back burner.
What is needed for this to happen?

4ROC

Being a complete newbie here I'm all for the new group, and the name is fine. I'm surprised there wasn't one before this. I support the case-by-case idea for other vehicles joining. So it gets down to the basics: What are the rules? How do you join? Any $$$?

I've got a '94 Runner SR5 with 227,000 miles with a lot of old stuff on and in it that has served me well. I've just bought a '00 SR5 highlander, last year for 5 speeds, that's being dressed in a lot of new stuff.

I am real new here too.
I really like the idea of 4ROC as it has been presented here. Does anyone have domains for 4roc.com, etc?

The club will not start by itself, we have to get off our butts and get it started.

What can I do?
Let's go!!
