I agree with you Corey, but at the same time, I have to say 2 jeeps, 2 fords, 1 hummer, and a tractor were all stuck....But a Yota woulda got him out. He needs to get some YT friends....

Not that we would have pulled him out of there...

at least not without a tread lightly lecture, and a fine imposed by my size 14 boot....

You know, once the Native American rangers on the reservation out here started impounding the trucks that they caught trespassing on their land, they didn't seem to have too much of a problem after that...

Hmmm.....

I'll bet you that if you get caught trespassing on protected land that you lose your vehicle, or at the very least have it impounded, you see this happening a lot less....

he "only" got:
A judge slapped Sharek with 25 hours of community service and probation
what is that about ???
I would have slapped them, "all of them" with everything I legally could, plus make all them pay for the fence, and landscaping to restore the area that they tore up.
thats just another blackeye, for the off-road community.

very effective. when i was 13 or so on a dirt bike in the hills (no fences yet) we got stoppped by the owner who told us to park are bikes against the tree and come back to get em w/ our parents.
yeah right (said the naive teens) being on the slowest bike i got hit with rock salt from the shotgun- OUCH! never trespassed anywhere since

Well, they got a little more than just community service:

Police charged Sharek, 34, and five others with three misdemeanors: damaging public land with a motor vehicle, driving off road in a parks and recreation area and illegally entering a state park.

what they got "charged with" isnt the same as what the judge sentenced him too ---> community service

it doesnt say what the others got
