Used Fj Pricing??

With the current state of economy, people moving to more eco friendly vehicles, lower sales at the dealer.

What do you think I can get a used FJ for?

I found a 6 speed with locking rear diff, 44K miles at a dealer and they are asking 19,800

I am think of making a low offer on it, if they take it fine, if not I will just keep looking, waiting.

The one I found is at a Ford dealer, that they took in trade...so they already made money on the new car sale....thinking I can get it cheap.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I would deff try and lowball it...
maybe offer 17.
19,8 sounds alittle stiff for a USED fj, If it wasnt such an offroad beast then it wouldnt be a problem, but you know whoever used it abused it..
not saying that its probably not in emaculate mechanical condition...its a Yota!

Good luck on your search.

I doubt it even touched dirt....price seems pretty good to me. 44k miles isn't that much at all and new they are around $30-35k.

it is the trd one, not that I care

it is in clean shape, going to see it tonight.....but I know most of the dealers in boston, have TONS of SUVs

probably the case nationwide, they are not selling.

I am thinking offer 16K, see what they come back with, maybe end up paying 17K

I really dont need a new car yet, but with 307k on the 4Runner, might be time to look.

I may be nuts for offering such a low number, but the same theory worked out well when I bought my house 1.5 years ago....

4 years ago 3rd gen Runners with about 100k on them were still going for $13-15k but the economy was a bit different then but the price isn't awful on an FJ right now.

I agree, lowball it. The TRD will garner a premium price, but at 44K, it's well in the used category. You should be able to get an '08 brand new in the very low 20's, with the way things are selling. Good luck!

They would have sold me this FJ last night for 17000 flat.....I just need to mull it over. My job is secure, but you never know in this economy so maybe I will make my 4Runner last a bit longer. I did like how the FJ drove and the black on black looked nice.

Thanks for the input!

That's awesome news man.

I clicked your link and saw that you are into surfing. I am just curious if you ever came down to Nantasket Beach in Hull on the south shore to surf at all. I just moved to Hull from SC a few months ago and couldn't believe how many people I saw surfing on the last few semi warm days.

I lived in Columbia. I didn't make it down to Myrtle too much and I have never been to OBX but I hear it is pretty awesome. I would like to go someday.

Ditto, I had actually planned on buying a car and keeping the runner but with a deal like that I might change my plans.
