A-Trac

New to the group here. I do have a 84 PU and 86 4runner. Can anyone explain how the a-trac works on FJC? I have one on order and the dealer is clueless.
Thanks Tim

Welcome to the forum, Tim, and congrats on your pending arrival. Which model, color, equipment, etc?

The FJC portion of the Toyota site has some great Flash-type demos with audio. Check out 1.2, Traction Tools demo and accompanying videos:

In a nutshell it uses the brakes to stop a slipping wheel and force the open diff to send power to the other side. How the TRAC works on trucks w/ a locker I don't know, perhaps on the FJ it only works on the front axle if the rear is locked.

Bob, I have explored some of the stuff on that site, but not #1.
It was awsome!

I watched all of #1 including the real live vids of the water crossings.
