The same as the Tundra standard steel wheels. A steel wheel is a steel wheel, like someone else has said, I never thought Toyota 4wd enthusiasts would complain about a steel wheel.

they seem to have such off proportions. aren't they similar in length to a 4runner?
No, they are 11 inches shorter, with only 4 inch shorter wheelbase.

i would take an h3 over this if chevy would put a decent motor in it. they look to be similar in size and at least the h3 has 33's and lockers available stock.
H3 is 9 inches longer, 5 inch longer wheel base, ground clearance is 8.5 standard, 9.1 with optional 33" (32.8" really) tires, FJ Cruiser has 9.6" ground clearance with the standard 33" (OK only 32.6", if you want to be a stickler ) tires, The H3 has rear (only) diff lock just like the FJC.

Don't see the advantage of an H3, as it will be more expensive and will not have the reliability or longevity of the Toyota. Plus the H3 is ugly

A lot of the same old pictures, but there are one or two that I haven't seen before.
http://pressroom.toyota.com/photo_li...kw=07fjcruiser

The one of the interior (not from the side) and the close up of the "sliders."

Nice. I'll have to cut the crap out of one of those some day and hang a Straight Axle on it and get it up higher.

This time right to the plasma. Off it all goes.

Why does the blond lady always have one finger up in the air? Does she need to pick a booger?

I don't know. A lot of those people in the pics have their fingers in the air too. I'm thinking they're trying to start a new fad. Kinda like a lot of japanese and chinese people give the peace sign whenever they take pictures.

ok now that I've seen real life pics of it .... as it stands it's ugly.

1) get rid of the sheet metal section in the back, and replace it with a window.
2) get rid of the black rubber along the bottom. You think Toyota would have learned from the mistake they made on the 4th gen 4runners.
3) Wheel wells need to be rounded off, and add some limited style flares to it.
4) protruding tail lights have to go
5) protruding plastic on front bumper has to go

It has potential .. just needs a few minor adustments here and there

I don't know why, but it is starting to grow on me. As for its faults, isn't that what Mods are for?!

You nailed it Dude !!!

Get a clue guys, do you think any TJM or ARB bumper would ever get approval as OEM equipment? No way. Toyota knows that those bumpers will get striped away. For all you tire carrier cry babies, here you go. It's body mounted and it WILL WORK. This is a great starting point for a serious build up.

Stock it sucks, just like every other stock vehicle except for the Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. That thing is unreal out of the box, 4Runner wheel base, air lockers, armor and a factroy crawl.

This FJ Crusier will be a great vehicle and there will be TONS of aftermarket so you can re-do it anyway you want.

After all............. Aren't real Jeeps built not bought.............
