lift options for fj

has any one seen this lift kit yet ?
http://www.truxxx.com/toyota_product...r_Lift_Kit.htm
anyone ever dealt with this manufacturer yet ?

im planning on using 33x12.5x18 (toyo m/t) wheel and tire package, when i talked to central 4wd about the revtek lift , they said the 33's will rub , when i test fitted the wheel and tire package at les schwebs, we couldnt find any rubbing, and that was without a lift. there was not very much room where the tire and strut assembly are at their closest point. a bulging tire may make contact though. anyone have any idea why the 33's do rub then.

i will soon be able to do the lift kit and wheel and tires for my fj and dont want to end up getting a lift or wheel/tire combo that ill have to redo.

id rather get the donahue or all pro lift , except that they are extremely pricey.

I think when the time comes to lift my future FJC, I will do it with coils/shocks.

Many swear by the Revtek spacers though.
I would be carrying extra weight up front as in a winch and custom bumper.

Here though you can see a video shot at Revtek a few nights back with many from the fjcruiserforums testing out an FJC with the kit.

Check out all of the blue rigs.
Seems to be the popular color fro Oregon.

One thing you cannot forget is the amount of lift in relation to the drive shaft angle & front CV joints angle. Too much will affect 4WD driveability & engagement.

That is one thing to take into consideration, although 'most' coils give the same amount of lift as spacers, but provide a stiffer ride(thus being able to hold extra weight). Being someone who has used both, I would reccomend coils over spacers, unless 1- the truck is brand new(in your case), or 2- price is a major factor. The coils will give you more flex(not just a higher height), and tend to be stronger. FRom what I know, you should be able to use any of the OME setups for 4th gen 4runners, same suspension. Good luck, I know a lot of systems are still in development, but there should, or will be shortly, a huge amount of stuff availible for the FJ. If you find anything about swapping out those ugly tail lights, let me know, that might change my mind on getting one.

Does this thing have a panhard rod like the 3rd Gen 4Runner? If so, has anybody addressed this issue yet with their lift?

The FJ does have a panhard rod but it's not necessary even with a 3" lift.
