Talking The engine you WISH you had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the picture of the new 4.5L 8cyl TWIN TURBO diesel only found in the Land Cruiser and swapped into the FJC. I was down in Belize City yesturday looking for the guy who swapped one into his FJC, but since i could not find him, i went to the dealer and got the Land Cruiser engine.

4.5L V8 Twin Turbo Intercooled Diesel:

Thanks!
I know a lot would be interested in a total writeup to what all is involved in this swap, and how it rides.

I personally think the 4.0 flies like a rocket ship, gobs of torque.
I could only imagine what happens when you put the go pedal South.

I called the owners wife yesturday but their son answered the phone, he said that his father was attack/robbed along with several others, while on some Land Rover tour in Gaut. he still has the FJC diesel, but it apparently is damaged due to the rebels. so he told me it will be a while before his dad is home and i personally did not want to ask the poor guy if i could get a full report on his FJC while he is in the hospital. i''ll report when i know more.

Maintainance must be a bitch on that thing, have a butt load of stuff to remove just to get to the manifold. Who cares though! I still want one, a 4.5 turbo diesel v8 is better than a 3.4 anyday.

Is this something that could be installed by a dealer if you could get your hands on the engine? What would be entailed in getting one?

Cheers!
