and DRTY_FJ is lifted....

kind of.
skyjacker apparently gave the wrong hardware.
the front bushing install the instructions sucked - so we made it up to get it done and im gonna call them tomorrow to see if we did it right - or if the parts they gave me were wrong altogether.
the rear.. they didnt give any of the bushings for the new rear swaybar end links to go in. so im running without the swaybar attached in the rear...
again going to call them tomorrow.

its nice and all i got the first kit they made... but it sucks that the kit didnt have what i needed after we got the truck apart... (everything seemed ok until we went installing it.. we had the right amount of bushings in the correct colors for everything.. just not any of the right stuff after we tried using it - or some of the right stuff.. or whatever)

im just glad i have the 4runner to drive till i figure this all out

and pics before/after and a few install ones when i remembered to grab the camera.. when we werent figuring out the stuff that was wrong in the kit LOL
BEFORE:

stock suspension

sway bar end link removed

strut unbolted at bottom

after alot of agrravation.. and cursing at skyjacker... and just deciding to do what looked like the best option.. skyjacker strut installed

spring hitting UCA (at full droop) because were not 100% sure we got it all right, but its the only way it would have worked

using factory bushing on top even though skyjacker gave one.. but it wouldnt work any way we could figure it out

lift fully installed

and for the sake of humor for you all... this is what happens when una works on things with her feet criss crossed (note the duct tape around ankles please)

i agree. it looks very good, but that skid plate needs some work. maybe adding another piece to extend it, or get rid of it and fab up a new one. either way, thats a really good looking truck.
