I installed and amp under the seat. I dont know how durable the plastic rug is, because the amp is diging into it. the nut and screw really grab on good. I tried loosing it it still is digging it. can it rip or tear. any sudgestion the car is brand new, wouldent want any tear just yet. (dosent look as bad on pics but it is really streaching)

 

i would pull it and put some spacers in between the amp and the floor (like some washers, etc..) so that there is some airflow under the amp when it heats up. the flooring should not tear but it will prob be dimpled where the attachment points are.

 

My amp was just put in the same place this weekend.
I will have to look to see how the holes are on top.
