Toyota T100 Engine Swap

Toyota T100 Engine Swap
Hello, apologize if anyone has asked this before. I currently have a 95 T100 3.4 V6 Regular Cab Auto that I picked up for a sweet deal. But I'm looking to put the 2.7 Distributor type 4cyl 3Zfe to replace it, could anyone tell me what I'll all need and if there'll be any bumps in the road. I currently have:
• 2.7 DISTRUBUTOR TYPE ENGINE
(I read that that is the proper type because a 97 and later is coil type)
• AUTOMATIC RWD TRANS
• WIRING HARNESS
• ECM
ive heard exhaust bolting up can be a problem? Yes I know I'm pretty much downgrading, but I'm in love with the 2.7, I had a reg cab 02 Tacoma prerunner and it was great. Thanks in advance.

Both engines are great, I've stuck with the 3.4L myself for my preferred, but I haul a lot. With a good running 3.4l MT with slightly oversized tires (32in vs 31in) and stock 4.10 gearing, I'm getting around 22-25mpg taking an easy on it. If I really put around I can push it to about 27mpg max. A 2wd truck would naturally get better mpg as it's less weight and spinning mass. A guy I met was getting 27mpg with is 2wd T100 MT on the express way. General typical mileage for the 3.4L is more 18-20mpg, I'm a bit of a hyper miler.
One thing that will make your life easier is to register on the Toyota TIS site and download all of the EWD pages. There's around 50 per vehicle, so get your T100 and the donor vehicle's. This will help match up the dash wiring to the engine side of things for the gauges and such. Probably best to do your homework first and see if any extra wires will be needed. I haven't done a engine swap, but I used the diagrams to put an auto ecu in my manual truck because I couldn't find a replacement ecu, and most MT's were $250+.
I'd assume the T100 is like the old pickups, but I could be wrong. On the older ones the 4 cyl 22r/re engine mounts were in a different location than the v6 3vz, so cutting/welding, or some sort of adapter would be needed in that case. The T100 stems from that era, but I've never had a 4cyl T100 to look at the differences. I've stuck with 4x4 only trucks, so probably why.
