Thanks for the research. I'm going to try and reset the ECU, then take a trip to Jersey and back. Maybe I'll get lucky. If not, anyone interested in some Bosch O2 sensors?

I paid $170 a piece for them.

When you say you're coasting downhill, I'm going to assume you mean pushing the clutch in and just letting it idle.

That can actually hurt mileage. With the switch to OBDII back in 95-96, most engine control units will shut off the pulse to the injectors if the computer detects that the engine is turning faster than idle.

Meaning if you stay in gear and let off the accelerator and the computer senses the engine is turning above idle (900-1200 rpms for most engines), it kills the fuel to the engine. When you push in the clutch, the computer has to keep fuel going to the engine to keep it at idle.
