T100 2wd to 4wd IFS conversion?

I've been shopping for a 4x4 single cab T100 with a 3.4L and manual transmission for nearly a year now and haven't managed to buy one yet. So, I'm wondering if the IFS and 4x4 components from my 1995 extended cab, manual T100 would bolt on to a 1995 or newer 2wd T100.

I have researched it, but haven't found a definite answer. Any one who has done this or knows for sure whether or not it can be done? Thanks

I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure that the T100 is constructed in the same way as the smaller pickups were (pre-Tacoma).

If that is true, the frame and mounting points between a 2WD and 4WD versions are different, which means that some grinding and welding of new suspension mounts are likely needed and isn't a simple bolt-on upgrade.

i know 86-95 mini truck frames are different from 2WD to 4WD so I would expect the same differences would apply to a T100

not gonna be a bolt stuff on in a weekend type deal
