I just replaced all the shocks on my 97 T100 and got to the last one on the rear driver side. The top mount bolt came out fine and the lower one sheared off leaving the shaft stuck in the mount. Tried welding a nut to it to get it out with no luck. Anyone know what the bracket is called that the bolt threads into? I’m not sure if it’s an orderable part of if I’ll have to try and find it at a junk yard. Any info would be great.

 

Yes, they still make them for the T100s. Theyre a U bolt bracket with a lower shock mount attached. Theyre also sometimes called U Bolt plates. Theres some originals on ebay too. Im not 100% but i believe ones from the 89 to 95 pickups are the same size.

You could also as an alternative drill it out and re tap the hole with a special bit. Very easy I had to do it once.
