Rear Driveshaft Woes -- source?

Rear Driveshaft Woes -- source?
Hey guys -- I'm new to this forum, but it sure looks helpful!
I just bought a '95 T100 Extended Cab 4x4, for the princely sum of just $2500. The seller started at $4500, but after my mechanic looked it over (and documented $2K worth of repairs), I was able to get the seller to come down to what it was worth.
One of the known problems was the rear driveshaft. My shop removed it to have it refurbished, but it was found to be beyond repair. They then found one in Kentucky, which took a week to get here -- and it was the wrong part. (It was for an automatic tranny.)
So, we're now waiting for one coming from South Dakota. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this one is the right part.
In case this part turns out to be wrong/bad, I'm thinking ahead to the next step. Does anyone have a recommended source for T100 parts?
Thanks!

Find a better driveshaft shop. You can get new parts for all the components, u-joints, slip yokes, etc. What was worn? For a used one, try http://www.car-part.com/ or http://www.yotayard.com/

$1200???
Crikey, are these airplane parts, or what? :-)
(I own an aircraft, and have grown used to being quoted similarly outrageous prices for $3 Radio Shack switches...)
Here's the deal: My shop has SUPPOSEDLY found a "serviceable" driveshaft in South Dakota. It was *supposed* to arrive Thursday, then today. Still nothing -- and now they won't work on it again till after New Years.
Regarding what was wrong with it in the first place, the shop they sent it to in Cedar Rapids told them that the end that goes into the transmission was "egg-shaped" and couldn't be refurbished.
So, we're waiting...and waiting... I'm about ready to put the thing in 4-wheel drive, and just drive it with front wheel drive only...
