'97 T100 trany swap from '93 T100

The 5 spd R150F trany in my '97 T100 4x4 developed problems and needs to be rebuilt. I have a R150f from a '93 4x4. Both trucks have V6's. Can I swap the entire trany and transfer directly in to my '97? If not can I just use the trany with my transfer case. I need to keep the '97 T100 on the road while its' trany is being rebuilt. Is there a ID tag anywhere on the transfer case or trany?
Thanks

The only issue you might run into would be the bell housing, which is unique to the T100. If anything you'll have to swap the bell housing off the newer trans to the older trans.

According to the thread title both are t-100's. So I believe it should be a direct swap. The only thing I've seen some toys that have different speed sensors.

I realize their both T100's, but I'm just not sure about the 3.0 to 3.4 bell housing compatibility...
