I have a 96 Toyota T100 with a 3 inch lift on 33's. Nothin special but I want more... I want to do an SAS and run 37's. I found a Chevy 6 lug Dana 44 to match the lug nut pattern of my rear axle. I'm not sure what gears to run but I was thinking of either 4.88 or 5.13. Any suggestions?

I have changed my mind a little. I found a forum of a T100 that was done up pretty much how I want mine to be. I'm now thinking of doing a Chevy 14 bolt in the rear and a Dana 60 in the front. This way I can run a much bigger tire if I want to. I'm not sure how these axles will bolt up or if I will need to move the perches to mount them. I also have no idea what size leafs to get or the lengths of the shackles needed to provide enough lift to run a bigger tire.

I run 4.88 gears. Dana 44 is great axle easy to find and easy to work on and you get 1 ton steering for the front. I ran alcan springs on mine

I agree with MaK92-4RnR. I'm going to run 5.13 at least because I am probably gonna go with 40's. If I change my mind and go with 37's then I might be slow on the freeway but oh well. I am going to go with a Dana 60 so that I won't have to worry about snapping an axle nearly as much with bigger tires plus I can change to a bigger tire without swapping axles.

well if you plan on running tires that big than that will be your best bet i'm actually thinking of down sizing to 35's. nice looking t100 by the way

Thanks. I bought it stock from my dad with 170k and it now has 215k. The last 45k have been some pretty rough miles. I have cracked and stretched the frame at the hook mounts on the front on both sides. I haven't up graded it much other than a lift I installed myself and the interior mods I did (bucket seats, sound susytem).

I have 4.88s on 33s and I wont go any bigger unless I Regear or supercharge it. I would say 5.13 with 35s could even work. For sure 37s you will need 5.13s IMO

I Think I am going to go with the FJ80 axle or a HP Dana 60. Does any one know if the FJ80 axle will bolt right up to the T100 front end or will I have to move the spring perches?

not all of it im planning on doing four link in the front in the near future

I personally am a fan of leafs over the four link because you don't need the stabilizer arms. Are your leafs shot?

Realized I have another problem. A HP Dana60's diff is on the drivers side not the passengers. I don't really want to do any cutting and welding on an axle to make it work but that might be the best option. I have looked at using an FJ80 axle but I have found that it is rather hard to get the steering to work. A Dana44 would fit the best but I fear it wont be strong enough for 40+in tires. My question is do they make a large axle like a Dana60 with the diff on the passenger side?

Well I recently bought a set of Dana 60's out of 84 Dodge W350. Turns out the length of the axles are almost exactly what the stock rear axle is in length and the spring perch mounts for the rear axles is the same as my stock one (44in from centers). The front axle's perch mounts are 33in if I remember correctly. I also traded my set of allterrain 33x12.5 R15 for a set and a half of goodyear wrangler 37x12.5 R16.5 with rims.
