Wiring Diagram help

I know it isnt a toyota, but I am going to be doing my HID retrofit on my 04 Suzuki GSXR 600 very soon here, but have been trying to figure out my wiring setup first. I want the lights to come on after I let go of the starter button. I know this is possible because there is a guy on gixxer.com with this setup. Unfortunatly, he had a friend that is an electrical engineer do his setup, so he does not know anything about it. I dont really understand how it would be accomplished since the starter button is momentary. Really I just need to know how to get the relay to trigger at the correct time. I know there are some people here on YT that are damn good with wiring, so I was wondering if you guys could help me out in figuring out a diagram.

Here is the wiring diagram for my bike:

Here is a pic of under the seat of the guy running this setup:

And this is my bike:

I would imagine the HID relay signal is not connected to the starter switch but to some circuit that is energized after the engine is started. Having the wiring diagram is one thing but a multi-meter and some circuit testing would tell a lot more. Can your buddy get in contact with his engineer friend by chance? He most likely tapped one wire to send the signal to the HID relay. Or you may just look at your friends bike and see what wire it is.

Unfortunatly the pic you provided doesn't show what is new (HID instalation) and what was already there.

Yeah i know it isnt the starter button since it is momentary. I already did poke around with a multi-meter and the best I could come up with is a wire coming off of the fuel pump relay that comes on when the kill switch is turned on (but before the bike is turned on).

As for him talking to his buddy, I dont know if he can get ahold of him. And I cant look at his bike because it is in a different state, I know him from Gixxer.com (forum just like YT but for streetbikes). He thinks it taps into wires coming out of the main relay, which is where that yellow wire goes.

Assuming you want the relay to be on when the ignition is on, find any wire that is hot in that state, such as your fuel pump and trigger the relay off of that.

Otherwise, set up a latching relay. You'll need a relay with two pair of NO contacts. Have the starter trigger the relay coil then wire the other contacts from an ignition switched power source to the relay coil (in parallel to the starter switch wire). That way as soon as the starter button turns the relay on, it'll then maintain itself on with the power through the contacts. Then wire the other contact to your HIDs.
