What's up w/ my headlights?

Okay, i read a thread that a guy had a similar problem but i don't know, i'd like to get further input on this....here's the story:

bout to go to bed at 1:30, and all of a sudden i realize my headlights are on, see them thru my window in my room i think s#*t, i left them on b/c it was raining earlier today, so i go out there and then i remember i ddin't here the loud annoying beep sound that happens when you leave your lights on, so i go out there, switch them a cuople of times, but they won't turn off, even in the off position, i end up havin to disconnect the battery at 1:35 in the morning, not in a great mood

so..... any suggestions please so i can fix this tomorrow, i aint much of an electrically inclined person (i electrocuted myself putting a fan together), so any advice would be appreciated, PLEASE HELP

Once you connect the battery, you should be fine.

relay could be stuck or the contacts in the switch are dirty or worn.

Hasen't come on at all? or has not stayed on?

Yep, sounds like you killed the relay. That is exactly what happends.

Just find the relay under the hood in the black box and feel it while someone turns the lights on. If you feel a click then it is something else but if you don't then that is most likly your prob.
