Side View Mirror Defroster

I have a 2005 Runner (SR5)...I was told it didn't come w/ the option for Heated/Defroster for the Side View Mirrors....But I swear that when they get fogged up if I crank the A/C w/ the Front Windshield Icon Selected and put on the defroster it clears the mirrors off. Can anyone shed some light on this??

Sounds heated to me. On my '99 i believe it's the windshield defrost button that activates the mirrors.

On my 2002 4Runner, the rear hatch window defogger button activates the side view mirror heaters.

Just to make certain if you have them or not, turn on the defrost. After a little while touch the mirror, if it is nice and warm you have heated mirrors. If not then I have no idea why they would defog.

thanks - I guess a test a good way to go but I am also interested to know if this feature is supposed to be standard or not on the 05 SR5

Would it have "heated mirrors" or "electronic defrost"?
