RR Diff Lock Switch and Accessory Lights

RR Diff Lock Switch and Accessory Lights
YT crew, I have one for the folks with more electrical knowledge than I. I'm trying to use an extra RR Diff Lock switch for a set of H3 lights. I bought the Winjet 130W wiring kit and I'm trying to figure out what wires to splice into the correct plugs of the RR Diff switch. I have a factory connector and connector pins to make a proper pigtail. I found a schematic for the RR Diff switch that will be important to the conversation: http://lh4.ggpht.com/__BT1XDdqlKU/Sa...%20diagram.jpg
So, it looks like pins 2 & 5 will complete the circuit to turn the lights on and off. I've tested continuity and the switch works, pins 2 & 5 are the on and off points. My question is, how can I tie the switch's indicator light into the on and off path (pins 2 & 5)?
I can connect a 9v battery to pins 3 & 4 and the switch indicator light comes on...with the push button switch in both the on and off positions. The indicator light is always on. I'd of course like to have the light come on when I turn the lights on and off when they are off. I've tried jumpering various pins to get the right function for the indicator light but nothing works. In fact all the jumpering I've done doesn't light the indicator at all.
BTW...the stock Winjet switch red wire gets power from a fuse (I'm thinking pin 5 on the diff switch), the white wire goes to the relay (I'm thinking pin 2 on the diff switch) and the black goes to ground.
Got any ideas? Am I totally messing this up?
Thanks!

Pin 4 to pin2 pin 3 to ground
That should turn you switch light on and off with your lights.
You need a ground for the light to work
Are you using a relay or is the switch heavy enough??

I'll try that suggestion, thanks. I'm using a kit that has relays and fuses. All I want to do is replace their switch (Winjet) with the RR diff lock switch. It fits better/cleaner than the one they gave me.

So...I did try pin 4 to 2, but...I was using a 9v to test the light and put pin 3 to the negative side of the battery to complete the path. Maybe that was my problem?
Thanks for the help.

Do you think!! Think some more.
How is grounding your light to a 12 volt system ground going to complete the circuit back to your 9volt battery .You were not completing the circuit
We all learn things as we go. I have been working on this stuff 30 plus years even I have days I stare at schematics it looks like Chinese to me.

Not yet. Haven't had time to lift the hood and pull the dash apart. This is the kit I'm using. http://winjetinc.com/index.php/winje...-set-case.html I can't find a proper wiring diagram to share with this post. I could take a pic of the diagram on the harness package later.
I plan to connect my homemade pigtail to the red, white and black wires from the dash switch that came with the kit.
Thanks for checking back in. I'll post results when it's done. Let me know if you have more comments after seeing the kit I'm using.
