Rear wiper

Rear wiper

I have searched. 1985 4runner. The rear wiper has never worked. I bought the truck about a year ago and have learned alot about working on the mechanics of the truck. However, when it comes to electrical stuff, I don't know where to start. The rear window works fine, but the wiper switch does nothing. How would I begin to diagnose this problem. Where should I check for power first.

Please answer this question as if I know nothing of electronics. Because that is pretty much the case. Thanks

Tied in with the rear window. Make sure the connector inside the driver's side rear pillar (in the shell) is plugged in:
