If it runs off 12v it could work, gonna need a battery itself though to power it I assume.

you could get the needed voltage with 3 batteries. I would keep the under-hood one for starting, then run two battery's in the back for accessories, and then wire the three in series for the light. Of course, run an alternator lead to all 3, and you might as well up the alternator while your there. Really depends on what you are willing to do.

If i were you i would get some optima's bolt them all somewhere and wire them all in paralell, upgrade to a Mean Green alternator and put a toggle switch on the wire from the alt to the light batteries, then wire that light up and have at it.

If you want to get the wiring or advice on the multiple batteries and the multiple outputs from the alternator im sure you could ask Painless Wiring
for some assistance.

I have fun turning my KC's on at people who refuse to turn their brights off at night even after i signal them, imagine what you could do with that...

I am willing to run 3 batteries in the back no problem I am not to worried about the voltage, cause I know how the wire the batts to make the 28 volts.. I am looking at the amps.. nearly 70 amps at 28 volts..I know the alt can charge the 3 batts at 70 amps if i upped the alt ..but what about actually pushing the 70 amps at 28 volts to the light itself..that would drain the batts faster than the alt could charge it right???

If you upped the alt, I would think that you could run it. I would go with at least a 100 amp alt.

Edit: Here is a link to a H.O. Alternator source:

now my only concern is If I wire 3 bats in a series that makes 36 volts not 28 so it there a way I can step 36 down to 28 but still keep the 70 amps I need to run the god of all lights.

I mean its 1300 watts HEHE blows any 130 kc out of the water

is it really necessary to have 1600w light that is worth $6000 on your truck?

It is really cool, but seriously.

I would sell it for w/e its worth, say $5000, and buy something that you'll get more use out of. Like a car, or better yet, get an old yota, build it.

edit:

if it turns out that if you sold it and would get jack , then effing sweet. blind everyone in your town when u hook it up. sweet

lol that thing is crazy! Buy and it give it to me!

You should mount it on your top with remote operated controls. That would be sweet...

That thing is so bright its like a weapon, might as well mount it like one..
