Messed up my fuel gauge

I had the cluster out because I installed a new speedo cable (works great now no bouncing needle!). I decided to clean the plastic lens on the cluster, just because, and while I had it off I moved the fuel needle with my hand accidently. It stayed there and hasn't moved since (gone through two full tanks), and it all worked fine before I touched it.

Anyone done this before? Any ideas on how to correct it??

Happy holidays to everyone!! Hope Santa get you all the parts you need this year!
