Low tail lights

When I sit at the light with the headlights on the truck makes a weird noise and the charge light flickers on and off. Also my tail lights are very dim and the turn signals you can barely see, if I turn the headlights off then the tail lights and turn signals work correctly during the day you can see the tail lights and turn signals work without a problem it's only when the headlights are on.
Does this mean that my alternator it's on his way out and will this also fix the very dim tail lights and turn signals?

If your unable to test the alternator yourself, have a parts store give it a go. Also check your belt for wear, cracks, proper tension etc. If you find you need a new alternator and have the ability, Get the rebuild parts from the dealer and do it yourself, or if you need to purchase a new one, make sure its the proper amps and not a piece of trash sent here by China.

Red face

It might be almost any thing in the charging system .

Loose Alternator belt

Corroded connections

broken or loose battery terminals

Time to breakout the Meter and get some real numbers

Then just what your working on might be good to know
