let's do it with the lights ON!!!

Hey, I am going to be getting a new(well used, but new enough) grill guard here within the next two weeks. I was wondering what is the best performing, best priced, and best looking off road light that I can mount on the center of it? I would like the best of all worlds, Looks, price, and performance. I'm not looking for the top of the line lights, just a decent pair(I think there's just gonna be two of them). I would also like to know what places have the best deals on these lights, and if buying used(or just preowned) is an option. I want something that will be affordable(IE under $100 for the pair, if that's do-able), perform great(strength, brightness, easy assembly is a plus, too.... ME+wiring=bad news) and look great on the front of my guard. These will be going on a Black 1994 4Runner, slightly higher than stock, so I hope this kind of "sets the mood" for the verdict on the lights.

easy answer, Hella 500's i installed them myself and at the time i had no mechanical/wiring ability. You can purchase them for under 100 dollars and they work great.

I was already torn between the Hella 500's and the KC's. I think the KC's are more expensive too, and they don't come with covers, please correct me if I am full of .

the KCs are slightly more expensive i believe (paid 100 bucks for them in san diego) and they came with yellow plastic smiley covers... looked so sick. but my friend was a moron and took one of the screws holding the latch together off and lost it. now the KC is cracked because i cant put a cover on it. sucks huh?

Every time I see them in the Summit catalog, or elsewhere, they always want me to buy the covers separate. I smell scam.....to bad it was me they were trying to scam. So, what is the verdict with the KC/ Hella 500 dilemma? I was torn between the two before this post, and now, I'm back to square one...

Well I am a slut for PIAA's but my other half is a slut for lightforce. So no verdict from us. Sorry...

And I don't even have pictures to back it up either... I need to go crawl on a stinger now...

Love it - but I gotta back it up ya know???

OK found more TIPPY PIAA pics... But note she only has 2 PIAA's in these pics!!

When I first was loving on TIPPY!

Oh and this is Tippy with VWFast60 without our spots on - but our rock lights are on.. so as you can see sometimes rock lights are more important...

I'm in the process of getting mine from TC4RNR(thanks). I bought his guard, so that's where these lights will be going. I still have no answer as for which lights would be the best for the money, best for performance, and best looking on a grill guard mount. I'm open for any ideas.
