Ignition Knowledge

Looking for some help with some Ignition/Electrical Knowledge. I want to install a aftermarket Tachometer. SunPro model has green/white wire to Coil/Igniter. I have a Toyota FSM and a Haynes Repair Manual, it does show what a Igniter looks like(no pics). I dont want to start to cut or splice wires if I dont what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have a diagram of a tachometer (aftermarket) setup with any pics?
I have a '90 Toy 4x4 2.4L 22RE,M/T, with no PS/AC, 187k mil.

Thanks everyone................

Super easy.

You should have 4 wires
Red - switched power
black - ground
white - light for tach
green - tach signal

i hooked up the red to the accessory from my cig. lighter
black to ground
white went to a switched hot on the protected side of the fuse (ask me if you need a picture)
and green went to the negative side of the coil, as seen below

look at your coil, you may have a plastic cover:

take off that cover:

see on the left side of the coil that single green wire with the red connector? that's where you need to hookup that green wire from the tach

good luck!

Thank you so much for replying!
Thats what I was needing, yet. You added the red wire to the cig.lighter?
Did you have to but a larger amp fuse? Doesnt that fuse also take care of horn too? Yet any other pic you have would be great!
And again thank you..............

nah. the tach itself uses so little power i took to consideration to it. You can wire it wherever, just make sure you wire it so it's not always on.
