I have my alternator apart and I have new brushes, how do I get the old ones out? Seems like it should be simple

I removed the brush holder from the alt, now how do the brushes actually come out of the holder? 4x4 wire and the other write ups don't mention the specifics. It's probably really easy, I just can't get them out right now. Any help? Bueller, Bueller, Anyone

like I said, I read the 4x4 wire writeup on getting the brush holder out of the alternator, but now I have get the brushes out of the holder.

I think I am just going to drill through the wire/solder connection to free up the brush. Thanks for the help.

Got it all back together and it works great. What I did not know was that I had to un-solder the wires holding the brushes. Once I did that it was super easy. Thanks for the help everyone!
