high beams problem

at night with the head lights on and when i put my turn singal on and then make the turn every so offen my head lights will turn off or the high beams will flash on for no reason whats so ever, can anyone help me with this?

Firstly just a suggeston but when you post problems it helps if you give vehicle type, year, engine and any other relevant details. Assuming from your avatar it's a 1st gen 4Runner have a look at this site, the switch is about the only thing that connects the turn signals and headlights

Yes, check out the combo switch, but also check the wiring along the steering wheel. Sounds like you may have a ground or short problem there. Could be an intermittent short between a headlight wire and a turn signal wire or a loose connector along the way.
