Help? Diagnostic port...

So I bought a great 4x4 1988 Toyota pickup with a replaced 22re, but some of the Wiring I've seen in a couple places is questionable like, for instance a bent up paper clip in the diagnostic port... Should I document the ports it's bridging and replace it after I remove it and something goes wrong? I don't know what to do..

Bypassed all the fuel pump safeties to sell the truck???

Could be the switch in the AFM or the Circuit Opening Relay or wiring has failed.

Fp +B Fuel Pump Test for 87 and newer. Use a paper clip for better results.

The T and E is used to set the Timing and is also how you get your Check Engine Light codes. I can not see any reason that they would of left it in trying to bypass some issue. If it had been in the Fp and +B I would say that they were basically energizing the fuel pump full time. Since it is T/E you should be able to remove without any worries.

So I took it out and it's now a tad bit clunky when warm 400 -600 rpm
