From your post it sounds like the relay is wired wrong or maybe they gave you the wrong one .

Could be your switch is stuck closed

If it is not new the contacts could be welded together.

Are these all new parts??

Without a print one can only guess.

i double checked relay wiring. what is different with this setup from last is, relay has two contacts for pwr, 1 for compressor, and 1 for horn swith. the older style had 1pwr, 1comp, 1sw, 1 gnd. i still have old relay.
all parts are new in box.
thank you for reply.

I don`t have enough to figure this out .

You use the original horn switch when you close the horn switch you complete the circuit because the switch just allows the voltage to go to ground.

I know how this needs to work .

Does this have a tank or does it take awhile for the horn to start to blow.

Are you wrong in calling this a relay is it a solenoid that allows air to flow to the horns.

From the air tank

Makes a big difference!

You hit the horn button the solenoid opens horn blows leave go it stops

That would be the easy way to make this work

Did you get this figured out Yet!!

Having no idea what sort of electrical modifications were done to your truck you say you are using the original horn switch.

If it is the factory horn button it says right in your directions you do not need the relay the vehicle all ready has a horn relay

just connect your wires coming off the horn to the compressor as you have one positive and one ground coming off the horn.

This is the set up on all the factory Toyota horns I have. before the nineties

***I looked at the electrical manual for the 92 it appears to have one wire to the horn if yours is the same run that wire to the compressor then the other terminal on the compressor goes to ground.****

press your horn button the compressor powers up.

Good luck.

that's a negative.
i tried that and i get nothing with truck off, or on/acc.
found the old relay and they appear the same. i am going to try to find the oldschool hella horn intrustions and follow those, and call wolo and get this goin. sort of embarrassing a horn install taking more than couple hours. owelll, soml.
thanks for the help, appreciated

was on the phone trouble shooting the relay, wiring, fuses, and found were the issue was.
instructions say to jump 30 and 86 and groud at horn swith but leaves the relay energized and feeds compressor. identical intall as last time but i had left the horn switch wire grounded also causing a short. horn/hazard fuse was also blown to aggreavate things, but finally done and had i just wired it like i did last time i would have made the 2-3 hour window. doh.

i guess some install WERE meant to be done with a cold one alongside.

Review.
loud
LOUD. testing was tricky as you do not want to be close to these when the go off.
if you have a toyota with a single wire coming from horn switch, that goes get connected to 85 or 86 on the relay, 30 gets power, 87 goes to compressor and ground the 85/86 not going to horn wire. ground compressor and test. yea, the wiring and connections maybe 45min, but the wire wrapping and electrical taping and being 5'5"means i have to walk around the truck 85 times, up and down the step 92times, so that's were most of the time went, that and rippn phatties.
gonna do a road test.
