headlight conversions

has any one tried the h4 bulb conversions for sealed beam headlights. ive been pricing them out and they look reasonably priced. id love to have whit lights on my 88 4runner

I bought the bulbs and the housings off of eBay a long time ago. They work great. Give you a nice bluish color depending on what bulb you use. I think I found them for 25$. Everything was written in Japanese but they work great.

i got a cheap set of the h4 conversions lights i put on my 93 pickup i had i used sliverstars bulbs for a year or soo then when the motor blew up i bought a 91 4runner put them in there at that time i had the sliverstars in the 98 so i bought some GE night hawks and i well never go back to sealed beams

Yeah, I bought the Pilot brand pair. But, I never used h4 bulbs in them. I merely used them as a housing for my HID retrofit. Check out the link in my sig.

I have the IPF's, and really like them. I have used the Hella ones, and think the IPF's have a better pattern..
