Hard everything with problems with radio affecting proformance

Hey I have a 1985 22re stock. When I have the ignition on and engine off the radio works completely fine but when the engine is on im lucky to get half of the volume it also does not like the blinkers when the headlights are on. But it is a vary ruff idle. I have checked the wires rotor spark plugs which are black distributor cap vacuum alt. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check the power wire between the battery and fuse box, that wire is known to break and cause the kind of problems your having. It would be a good idea to replace that wire and upgrade it to a heavier gauge wire, and also make sure your alternator and battery are good. I upgraded that wire on my 4Runner to 4 gauge and i upgraded to a 95 amp alternator, and i never have any problems.
