Yeah, the wiring harness I built involved three relays... here's the diagram I used:



Remember, this wiring diagram is exclusive to the E46 Bi-xenon projectors with three solenoid wires.

Sure! Only use that diagram if you get E46 bi-xenons. If you get any other bi-xenon, it's way easier to wire up the solenoid for the shield. It is definitely a GIANT improvement over the stock setup.

 

Very nice, but $500??? WOW! Seems alot for lighting.

 

$500 isn't too bad. You pay $300-$350 for a plug and play kit with Casper shields.
Most of the people I know, myself included, that have/had those kits had issues with one of the lamps striking up.

A few friends paid $300 for this kit, and it barely worked properly. You would have to turn the lights on and off or flash your high beams on and off , even though it didn't have the high beam, just to try to get the second lamp to ignite.

Yeah, I don't think 500 is too bad. I totally agree with 4-runnin'. This is all OEM equipment and actually, the ballasts I have, have a manufacturers warranty. Plus, these lights last approximately 2000 hours. AND you get WAY better output. I thought it was alot, but I figured it was worth it. You can probably find other stuff cheaper. As always, in my haste, I didn't want to wait for better deals to arise. As I said in one of my earlier posts, when I buy stuff, I like to buy top quality used, or brand new things... So, you can save money if you buy other things. But, I don't want to buy something that I don't know if it will work when I get it, ya know?

Thanks guys! If you want to supply parts, I'm willing to do it. I just want to make sure you guys get the deals you're looking for on parts. But, I'll assemble them. Now, I don't have a ton of time to work on stuff like this, but I'll do my best to get them out in good condition. If you guys want to tell me exactly what you want them to look like, then just give me a description and maybe a sketch!

 

Ok, I have to ressurect this one for a few quick questions.

Has anyone found lenses that are for the later 2nd gens that are smooth? Anyone know anyway to smooth them out?

and finally, really easy question: Does the early 2nd gen bumper fit easily onto the later ones (92+)? I really want a front bumper that looks factory high-clearance like Keggo, Scottz, and Scofco have.

 

I would think that the bumer would easily fit. I may be wrong though. I've seen guys on later models take off the valance but leave the turn signals. All you can do is get the bumper and try. You could probably find a bumper for fairly cheap. Also, on the fluted lenses that you have, you can still retrofit and the cutoff will be ok... It won't be as sharp as clear lenses but there also won't be any glare. One more thing, the cutoff will bend a little bit like an arch... but not too badly... it just brings the sides of the cutoff down a little bit.
