Every light on rear end flashes...

When I put on the blinker, everything is fine but as soon as I depress the brake pedal, brake lights and both turn signals start blinking rapidly. As soon as I let off the brake, it goes back to normal. I've avoided driving at night because I found that when the head and tail lights are on, every light on the rear end flashes. I don't know alot about electrical but I'm guessing I might have a short in the wire for the tail lights?

The guy I bought it from had a trailer harness wired in. Underneath at the bumper was a complete mess of wires spliced in everywhere. They were either twisted together and wrapped with tape or just twisted with nothing covering them. Grabbed my test light, started checking wires and soon got the trailer harness cut out. Still though, with the brake pedal on, both red and amber lights were on and blinker did the same. Followed wires from passenger tail light, over frame, gas tank and into the body. I had to drop the gas tank just before I started driving the truck and thought maybe I did something when putting it back in so I stated making sure the wires weren't pinched anywhere and after checking that, got up, looked at tail lights and problem fixed! I have no idea exactly what it was that I did, but I did something.
