LED turn signal arrows

Hey all, just bought a set of LED turn signal arrows for my 98 4Runner. Wondering if anyone had seen these or done the install and what you think about it.

Having trouble trying to figure out where to wire them into. The site says the fuse box but why not just splice them into the front turn signals? Any help would be appreciated.

ya i would figure its much easier to just splice the front turn signals then to mess with the fuse but it can be done that way too for a more stealthy install. It looks more professional if there isnt spliced wires but instead it is nicely tucked under the fuse box in the engine bay... i thought bout getting those a while back but nvr ended up doing this bc i thought bout just doing the sidemarker mod.

just splice them into the turn signal pigtails--be advised though that due to the lower amp draw of LED's that you may need to add a resistor in the turnsignal circuit...If you end up with really fast blinkers, add the resistor

Are you going to use these in addition to, or for replacement of your stock turn signals?

I was planning on using them in addition to my front turn signals. These just stick on the side view mirrors so people beside and in your blind spot can tell when you put your blinker on. With the way the 4Runner is now you have to be directly in front or behind to be able to tell this.

In that case I would tie into the turn signal wire in the manner of your choice. as long as there is still the original bulbs in the turn signals are in the circuit there should be enough resistance in the circuit to make the signal function properly
