Door lock and window controls on the fritz

Alright so lately my windows and door locks haven't been working in the morning and only work sometimes wen it warms up during the day. I just cannot figure it out. Here is wat it does

-Wen i open the driver door, the whole control panel on the door will not work, along with the rear window. The individual ones on the other doors work though.

-Wen it is very cold out and my truck is running, if i open the driver door and close it, all of the locks automatically lock then unlock, and after this happens, none of the locks or windows will work.

-When its just straight really cold out like now, nothing works until after i drive around with the heater on for about 10 to sometimes 20 minutes.

It use to do all these things every once in a while but now that its winter, it does it every day. Anyone know what be causing this? some relay somewhere maybe?

any help will be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like maybe some moisture got in the door switches... I'd also check the wiring in the driver's door you may have some chaffing causing shorts or some connectors may have worked loose.
About all that comes to mind right now...
take the switch out of the door and bring it inside the warm house for a few days to dry it out near a heater outlet (but not on it you might melt something) then go over all the connectors/plugs with contact cleaner... dry it off and put some electrical silicone around the plug/on the contacts to seal out any moisture in the future.
hope this helps

yea i probably should take everything apart and go over it. the thing thats really gettin me though is that none of the switches work. I mean none of the window switches at all work, none of the door locks and the back the window... nothing. Thats wat is makin me think it could be a rela going bad or something. has anyone had problems like this before? and if so... do you know what relay i would need to replace if that was it?

That could be the door control relay giving you trouble then... what year/model do you have?
If it is a 2gen the relay is attached to a bracket on the crossmember above the left fuse panel roughly in front of your left knee. It will be either dark blue or gray in colour. It's about the size of a deck of cards.

Same thing happened to mine...Took it apart and let it dry and it has been good to go. Now I try not to get so much rain water in my window...
