Cruise control and turn signals

Hi,

Is the cruise control supposed to disengage if you use your turn signal? I am sorting out an electrical butcher job by the P.O. of my truck and wanted to know if this is normal behavior or not. Seems a bit odd to me.

Thanks!

Nope, but likely some connection between the two circuits. My '85 factory cruise sometimes does that as well. I suspect mine might be due to a trailer light wiring box in back, might try disconnecting things like that if you have them and see if anything changes. Could also be due to a power or ground issue, cab ground is a screw into the sheet metal behind the driver's side kick panel.
