Crank position sensor pigtail...
Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster.. I have a 96 t-100 with the 5vz-fe v6. I got it on trade a while back with blown head gaskets and bad water pump. I hired a couple so called mechanics to do the gaskets and pump. During the tear down, they snatched the wires out of the crank position sensor plug rather than unplugging, they didn't need to touch it at all. I've fired those guys and hired a true mechanic to finish. Anyway there are green and blue wires that go to the plug. This seems to be a non stock item that only comes from yota as part of the engine harness. Being a dynamo with electrical, I can repair the plug with little effort and a soldering iron. I just need to know the orientation of the wires. So with the plug facing you and the clip on top which wire goes left and right? My wrench will be at my shop tomorrow to finish up and I really need to get this done before he makes it there. Can anyone please either fill me in or send me a picture? You can text it to me or post it here. My digits are 864-382-6677. Thanks in advance Earl

If it's definitely a 2 wire crank position sensor, it shouldn't matter which wire goes in which connector. The 2 wire type generates an a/c waveform, so it shouldn't matter if the wires are reversed. If it's the 3 wire type then it does matter, different type of sensor. If it doesn't run, then reverse the wires, it depends if it needs to see a pulse or a rising voltage at the ECM. If it needs to see rising voltage then getting the wires reversed will throw the ignition timing off.
