complex reverse light wiring

complex reverse light wiring
Usually, my friends ask me to do their wiring, but I've come across an idea that I want to pull off, but can't quite figure out.
I want to add an auxillary backup/work light/s to my 4runner. I want to run a dpdt on-off-on switch on the dash that gives me worklights on/ off/ on with reverse. This isnt so bad. What I'd also like to do is add a second switch inside the tailgate area that turns on the lights separately. I could just have all three routings trigger a relay pack, but I can't quite figure out the diagram for this.
I posted this question on pirate4x4 and got an answer but it doesnt seem right.
Any wiring gurus here have a thought?

Why don`t you want the extra lights to just come on with the back up light switch.?then put the extra switch in the rear some place that would turn them all on.
You can do it the other way but a lot more wiring and work.
I need to think on this some and it is bed time .
Just what year and where are you mounting the lights??

It's a 95 and I haven't decided whether to mount them low or actually put them inside the glass and roll down when using them. The usage would mainly be more of a camp light anyway but the concept intrigued me. When I get home ill link to posts on other sites that I've come across but I don't trust the recommended wiring 100%.

well if it is for camping what other electrical loads are you going to have??
Last thing you want is to have a dead battery when your ready to go home.
In that case I would just run a stand alone circuit and not tie them to the back up lights at all.
