Brake Light Problem

Hey guys! it was the first day snowing in utah so i went and did a little snow wheeling and then all at once my brake lights and my dash lights other than my rpms speed and gas, temp, oil pressure went out and I'll be the first to say i suck at electrical stuff and any help will be appreciated!

Check the fuses!!

I will bet you have a wire or two exposed some where that with the weight of the slop on the wire it shorted out.

License plate light is good for this or if you have a trailer plug.

Look for any lights not working .

I had bulbs fail that shorted to ground and blew the fuse.

thats what i was thinkin! do you know if the fuses for the brake lights is under the hood or driver side kick pannel?

hey im brand new to these forums but might i say that everyone is helpful on here its great haha, but i just recently bought a 87 4runner and it has the same exact problem... fuse keeps blowing and its located on the drivers side fuse block, 2nd one down on the left side of the fuse block... i just noticed that the trailer wiring is exposed so hopefully i can button that up and itll fix it permantly
