Bed/interior cap lights?

Bed/interior cap lights?
Ok, so I want to put some lighting inside my bed/cap, to replace the old Leer battery powered piece of crap. The bed layout is standard pickup/Xcab with Leer top. Have been looking around for lights, and looked at forum postings, but not too thrilled. Would favor a 12V LED deal with the switch on it, but love some suggestions/pics/links/etc. Thanks!

A buddy of mine put in a pair of those battery powered touch lights in his pickup shell. For a hard wired setup, grab a couple of 12V/1 watt Luxeon LEDs and hook them to the battery with a switch. I have this setup in my VW pickup shell. I have a lighter outlet at the front of the bed (I added that) and run the wires up to the lights. Another option is to attach a 12V trouble light to the top of the shell. Can light the bed or be removed for working on the truck:

Or pick up a 12V florescent light and attach that to the sides of the shell. That is what I used to run in my pickup shell:

I am going to try one of these (see below). Only one I could find which was directly mountable, had switch, etc. Would have preferred LED and perhaps red, but we'll see. PIcs to follow.

By the way, do like the other options shown above

Cap light installed
OK, finally done
1) Built base for light as below

2) Then installed:

3) Ran wires into body:

4) Wiring hook-up done in space behind tail lights, and then all linked through Painless Wiring fuse block (Used a constant-on line):

Works great, by the way!
